Bonnie Tyler moment
Well nearly: it was a total eclipse of the moon in fact. I've just spent the last half hour out in the street watching the eclipse and it was fantastic. It was like watching waves of shadow lap across the moon as if some umbrageous tide was coming in. (Are you loving my use of the word umbrageous? Believe it!) Slowly and imperceptibly the moon turned dark. In the end it looked like a grey ball hanging in the air and you really had no sense of how far away it was. I couldn't help but think "That's no moon, that's a space station..."

I set up my tripod and took LOADS of photos. And they were rubbish!
