I love the word
corollary. And I tell you what else I love at the moment...
Wikipedia. It really is the perfect format for an encyclopedia, it is (almost exactly) what hyperlinking was invented for: you can view one thing then slide off and read about a related item. Of course there is my inate distrust of any "facts" found on the internet, not to mention that North American habit of over-intellectualising everything. But it's still fascinating and I could spend hours reading up about things.
I've recently been on Wikipedia finding out about
Godwin's Rule:
As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches one
This lead me to discover one of it's marvellous corollaries:
The Lileks Principium:
In the future, everyone will be Hitler for fifteen minutes.
You've been warned.
