This crazy winter continues. 3 days ago it was over 20 degrees and I was debating buying a pair of shorts. I went for a bike ride around Banff. It looked mostly like this:
When I got back to the youth hostel the thermometer read 22 degrees C. I then had two days of sunny spring skiing at Sunshine. It's pretty high up there and the skiing was good. But I'm a proud Fernie-ite now so I've decided nowhere is as good as Fernie! But the scenery is stunning: a wonderful prosepect of mountains all around you. The skiing should be even better now because its been snowing all day and now Banff is again clothed in white. These Romans are crazy.
Serendipitous meetings continue! At Sunshine yesterday I bumped into Nonstopski's very own Phil Hargreaves and his charming lady friend Sarah. I enjoyed some good skiing with those guys and we met up again for dinner in the evening. I'll keep my eye out for them in Lake Louise which is where I'm headed next.
