So long and thanks for all the snow
Today was my last day of skiing this winter. :(
I'm glad that it was a bit of a cracker :)
Here in Lake Louise its been like winter again. About 30cm of snow over the last 3 days and cold temperatures stopping it turn to mush. So I've been enjoying some nice soft powder turns. But the last days have been quite cloudy, today was blue skies and sparkly snow. At least in the morning. It was a great way to end the ski trip. I really like the skiing here at Louise, the terrain is really varied with some great steep stuff, long groomed runs and skiing above and below the treeline. But bloomin' eck: there are a lot of rocks and other nasties under the snow. And not that far under in a lot of places. I've done more damage to the bases of my skis in 3 days here than 11 weeks in Fernie. But it was worth it. Above all the scenery here is STUNNING! Skiing some glittering pow-pow with the stunning views all around really was fantastic.
